Cross site script blocking in IE 8

Posted: Monday, May 18th, 2009 by Amy

Ever try and view a site and IE 8 gives you that informative yellow bar across the top of your browser telling you it’s blocked some harmful scripting? This happens to me all the time and on valid sites which I use on a very regular basis. If you are so inclined, here are instructions on how to disable this feature in IE. Go to Tools>Internet Options>Security Tab. Click on the Internet Zone, then on the Custom Level button. Scroll down almost to the bottom under the Scripting area and disable the XSS Filter. You should then be able to get past these errors.
