Why Outsource your Email?

There’s been a lot of talk recently about Cloud Computing.  Love or hate that title (I’m borderline on it for whatever it’s worth), it’s been a subject of conversation within the technology community for a few years now and it really comes down to this:

Cloud computing is used by practically everyone already!  Do you have a Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Hotmail, etc. email address?  Do you use Facebook, MySpace or Friendster account?  If the answer to any of those questions is “yes,” then you’re already “in the cloud” whether you knew it or not.

Lanlogic’s shared Exchange service, hosted SharePoint and webhosting plans are all “cloud computing.”  What that really means is that you’re not personally responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the hardware that hosts your data. 

Should you be worried about that? Honestly, no.

I can only speak for myself and the rest of the Lanlogic team, but we dedicate our days (and, sometimes, nights) to making sure that our customers’ data is safe and secure and that the hardware the data is hosted on is in tip-top shape.  From scheduled maintenance and proactive upgrades to backup (“hot spare”) hardware, we make sure that our network is up to spec so you can worry about your business.  We’ll worry about making sure your data is always available.

 

Outsourcing your email to Lanlogic is a fantastic way to get the power of Exchange and all of its functions without needing to invest in the infrastructure you’d otherwise need to. (Don’t forget hiring a contractor or full-time IT person to take care of the hardware as well!) It’s a really smart and inexpensive way to leverage corporate-level technology on a small company’s budget.
