Add Service

Hosted Exchange 2010

This document explains how to add a service a service user.  The are only two types of service offered at these time:  a Microsoft Exchange 2010 mailbox service and Microsoft Lync 2010 service.  Exchange is used for email and Lync for instant messaging.  It may be that a service user has the Exchange 2010 mailbox service set up (so the user has email service), but does not have instant messaging.  If the user needs instant messaging, you would need to add the Microsoft Lync 2010 service.  Once that service has been added, the user can now use instant messaging, provided Microsoft Lync 2010 is installed on his computer.

Add Service

  1. From the Users tab, select name of mailbox you would like to add a service to by clicking on the name under the Display Name Field

    Change Password

  2. Select Add Service.  Note:  if you have already added all of the services, the Add Service button will NOT show.

  3. Select the check box of the service you wish to Add (Microsoft Lync 2010) and select Next

  4. For Lync, need to select the type of Lync 2010 User – IM, and select Next

  5. Select Finish

  6. Confirmation message appears
