Change Mailbox Delivery Restrictions

This document explains how to change the delivery restrictions of a mailbox for hosted Exchange 2010.  There are four delivery restrictions that are used: the size of incoming emails, the size of outgoing email, the number of recipients in an email, and how long to retain deleted items.  The default is to retain deleted items for two weeks, or 14 days.  Typically the size of incoming and outgoing emails is set to 100 MB, but this can be adjusted.

Change Mailbox Delivery Restrictions

  1. From the Exchange tab, select Mailboxes

    Forward Email Address
  2. Select name of mailbox you would like to forward by clicking on the name under the Display Name Field
  3. Select the Limits tab, and select Edit.  Make the necessary changes to Delivery Restrictions and select Submit

  4. Select Update Size

  5. Confirmation message will appear
