How to Cancel Your Hosted Exchange Service

Posted: Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 by Kevin

If you decide to cancel your Hosted Exchange service, please make sure to remove all emails from the mail server prior to canceling.  When your organization is removed from our system, any remaining emails are permanently deleted.

  1.  Remove any emails you want to keep from the server.  Using Outlook, you can archive them into a .pst file and store the emails on your local hard drive.  See the related article “Set up Mailbox Archiving in Outlook” for instructions. (http://blog.lanlogic.net/kb/shared-exchange/using-outlook/set-up-mailbox-archiving-in-outlook/)
  2. Forward the “Welcome Message” that you received when you signed up for your service to support@lanlogic.com, requesting cancellation of service.  If you have GoodLink or BlackBerry service, please list the names of the mailboxes that have these services so that we can remove these services as well.  If you no longer have your Welcome Message, we will also accept a cancellation email from the address you signed up with.
  3.  When we receive your email, we will delete your organization from the server, and you will receive an email verifying cancellation.  This email will be sent to the email address specified when you signed up.
